Economic consequences of Covid‐19 in Latin America

Abstract
The economic consequences of Covid-19 in the region are already palpable, ECLAC projects decreases in all countries, further complicating the ever-complex situation in Latin American economies where social inequalities continue to be the order of the day. The confinement and quarantine measures adopted by the countries to prevent the spread of Covid, the closing of borders, has resulted in the paralysis of almost the entire world economic activity. Bibliographic review type research methodology. The general conclusion is that there are no probabilities of growth for this 2020 in the countries of the region, unemployment, bankruptcy of companies, health systems some better than others are the problems that each government will have to attack to achieve the rebound and economic growth.
