La influencia del mercado cambiario en las economías en familiares de la clase media
Main Article Content
Abstract
In Venezuela, the high level of imports, the drop in oil income and capital flight led the government to establish a regime of exchange restrictions, starting in 1983. Today it is essential in the lives of Venezuelans to know what is happening with the Bolívar and its relationship with respect to the US dollar, especially in the family economy of the middle class, where workers and officials with fixed salaries are found. This essay tries to evaluate the influence of the foreign exchange market in the family economies of the middle class in Venezuela, through documentary research in which publications on the subject have been collected, to later be triangulated with the theories of microeconomics on the market. exchange. With the information collected, it is concluded that the foreign exchange market is of great importance for Venezuelan families, who depend mostly on non-labor income and remittances sent by relatives from abroad and on which they depend to cover at least certain fundamental needs, since it allows flexible transactions in US dollars against a devalued bolivar and affected by the mistaken economic policies of the Venezuelan government.
