Abstract

Policies to help the most vulnerable sectors due to the economic effects of Covid-19 are being carried out in most countries, since the process of social isolation and quarantine that the countries have imposed has brought, as a consequence, the paralysis of non-essential economic activity, motivated by the closure of both land, air and sea borders to their maximum expression. The research methodology is of a bibliographic review type. The most relevant conclusions are that most of the actions taken by governments are directed to 3 key points: protection of wages, protection of production and support for the health sector at all levels. Social measures are aimed in some cases at the suspension of the payment of services such as water, electricity, rents, VAT reductions, tax reduction, to name a few.
